MZ 18 slot processor box which could have up to 5 mindless terminals connected
This box  actually contains the pcbs for a 5032E (extra 64K ram pcb) multi user system where the 8 inch Quantum 40 mb hard disk (see below) is mounted in another MZ box in place of the S100 slot.  In the 5005 unit the 5 mb hard disk is mounted in the space beside the floppy drive and just forward of the transformer in the psu.

18 Slot S100 bus MZ box
S100 bus  had terminating resistors at each end of the bus to prevent signal timing problems.

18v (+ & -) DC was supplied to the bus from the psu and each pcb had its own  power regulators to provide  its  own
+5v -5v +12v & -12v
Cable from rear connector  & external MZ terminal to keyboard input (parallel) on video pcb

2 Micropolis floppy diskettes inside shielding with their voltage regulators mounted on top of the shield. These drives were only used in the early Vector systems and were single sided hard sectored (315K) but were replaced by Tandon (630K) double sided drives in the Vector 3, 4 and 5 ranges.
