ZCB (6 MHz Z80B cpu)
64K memory
Flashwriter 2
I/O 2 (Bitstreamer 2)
FD/HD controller
5 MB Seagate hard disk
One Tandon 630 K hard sectored floppy drive.
One 64K & one Flashwriter board for each additional user up to a max of 5 users. These pcbs were linked together by a cable to form a pair.
As the 5005 but with 10 Mbyte hard disk
Similar to above except that a larger hard disk was fitted but it proved unreliable and was quickly replaced by the 5032.
As above except that it used a Quantum 8 inch 40 MB hard disk.
Unit housed in a MZ chassis ( 18 slot S100 bus) with drives sitting in front of the power supply. The external MT terminals were connected via flat ribbon cables from the rear of the box.
The 5005 units could (unlike the 5005E range) drive more printers and terminals, using the I/O 2 pcb. Up to 3 RS232 printers and one parallel printer and up to 5 users. (The maximum I saw was 3 users and 3 serial printers)
The hard disk could be split between 1 or two logical drives depending on version of the o/s loaded on the hard disk when first setting it up.
.
The 40Mb hard disks was configured into 4 x 8 MB logical drives due to the limitations in CP/M. (8 inch FD/HD controller required).
It was possible to “boot” from any of the 4 platters (G E804 booted from the 2nd platter) The hard disk and floppy were housed in another MZ chassis and connected to the CPU unit by large flat ribbon cables.
