V4 with one 5 MB HD and one floppy drive

V4 with one 10 MB HD and one floppy drive.

V4 with 40 MB hard disk and floppy (HD five and a quarter size)

Single board computer fitted with a modified S100 bus (3 slot) for disk controllers and network cards.

Shipped with CP/M 8 but could run CP/M 86  (16 bit software.)

One parallel port was a standard centronic port (similar to IBM parallel port now except for different end connector on computer side)

The other port was the Qume type parallel interface which gave enhanced features when used with the appropriate printers.

A switch mode psu was fitted which made the computer much lighter and the drives were  mounted under the CRT.

External colour RGB monitor could be connected to external port at rear although very expensive at £1200/$1700 in 1983

Due to IBM launching their XT, Vector produced a soft sectored floppy drive that could be fitted to give data compatibility.

V4 had the facility to “spooler” printouts to the HD and print the file out later to allow the user to get on with other jobs by not slowing the computer down too much.
