Excellent word processing package, could give the Decmate and Wang dedicated word processors a run for their money. Loaded in memory  (34k) which left 20K of usable memory for the document which was about 20 A4 pages of text.  Larger documents could be “chained” together

Mbasic5 programme that created/edited/sorted/printed mail lists.  Very good and had 40 different delimiters to identify and sort members of the mailing list.

Financial Planning package (reportedly better than Visicalc)

Used with Execuplan this package made financial forecasting models  for a company  based on the supplied information  to a list of questions asked by this package.

A database package

This program when run would look for all  Vector software on the computer and produce a list of the software and allow loading of the software via a menu.

This ran on V4 systems, it was a communication program and also allowed the Vector to emulate  a number of terminals (Televideo,  Lear Sieglar, View Point etc) for connecting to mainframes.

This package produced various types of charts (line, bar, pie etc) on a daisy wheel printer from data imported from Execuplan or DataManagr

A very good screen editor

Rapid Interactive Debugger - This allowed the programmer to  execute the target program line by line while observing the effect on the CPU and memory.

Sales prospecting and follow up program (ran on various other systems as well)

Believe this was the first “porting” of this accounts package onto a microcomputer.

Package for dentists, doctors;  etc, produced  a booking/calendar appointment system.

Along with the above software there were the usual CP/M tools.  DDT-Dynamic Debugging Tool.  ZSM assembler,  Microsoft Basic program,  LOAD, SUBMIT; etc.

Vector also produced many excellent diagnostic tools that tested everything except the power supply.  Reclaim would test for bad spots on hard disks or floppies and move the data automatically if it couldn’t repair the damage and then map out the “bad spot”.

Disktest allowed any sector, track or head to be tested on any floppy or hard disk  media.

Printest, kybdtest, portest, scntest, cputest, memtest, crc (program checker) all were supplied. These were produced by Vector graphics to test various subsections of their computers.

Demo software was also supplied to show the systems capabilities;   Flash11 & Flash12 featuring “Darth Vader” from Star Wars.  Obtainable games were “Snake”,  “747 Flight Simulator,”
